Q:
Can I place a product order through FlavorSum Access?

A:

No. FlavorSum Access is designed to help you shop and compare products, then request free small samples for testing purposes. You can only request free samples through FlavorSum Access.

To order product, email: orders@flavorsum.com. You can also call Customer Service at (800) 525-2431. One of our team members will take your order over the phone.


Q:
When will I receive my product order?

A:

For free samples from FlavorSum Access: Typically, we keep those samples stocked and ready to ship within 1 business day.

For product orders: We strive to deliver most orders after receipt in less than 10 business days plus transit time. The very first order of a new product may take up to 10 days to process and produce.


Q:
Does the list of flavors on the FlavorSum website include ALL your flavors?

A:

No. Our site shows a sampling of our flavors. We recommend starting your flavor search on the FlavorSum Access portal where we have more than 200 top-selling and tested flavor samples available for you to try. If you can’t find your flavor, call our Customer Service Team at (800) 525-2431.


Q:
I need more than a 1-oz sample. Can I buy more samples?

A:

We don’t sell our samples. Please contact our Customer Service Team at (800) 525-2431 or your Sales Rep for counsel about dosing ratios when you’re evaluating samples or to process a larger sample request.


Q:
I found the flavor I need for my project, but there’s no usage information shown for my application. What should I do?

A:

You can request any sample shown on the FlavorSum Access portal and try it in your application. If a usage rate isn’t shown for a specific application, however, you could still try it at a similar usage rate as displayed. Typically, high temperature processes (baking/confectionary) require a higher usage rate than products that do not have a heat treatment step.


Q:
Do you have any non-allergenic options for peanut or tree nut flavors?

A:

Yes! On the FlavorSum Access portal, you can order non-allergenic flavors for many tree nut varieties including coconut, hazelnut, walnut, pistachio, Macadamia, and pecan. We also have non-allergenic peanut flavor options. Simply select the “non-allergenic” filter and search for the desired flavor.


Q:
Can I get samples of organic flavors through FlavorSum Access?

A:

Yes! Type in ‘organic’in the search bar for our current list of organic samples.


Q:
I’m planning to add flavor to the alcoholic beverages we’re manufacturing. Are your flavors TTB approved?

A:

The FlavorSum team has submitted all flavors we suggest for use in alcoholic beverages to the TTB. You can access these flavors by using the application type, “Alcoholic Beverage” in your search. All FIDS are readily available on FlavorSum Access for your assistance.


Q:
Do all flavors used in alcoholic beverages require TTB approval?

A:

Alcoholic beverages that are packaged for retail must use TTB approved flavors to prevent processing delays for your product labels and approvals by the TTB. We have over 30 TTB approved flavors for use in your alcoholic beverage projects available on FlavorSum Access.


Q:
How do I receive my technical documents?

A:

Tech docs are available for you to download and store through the customer portal. Call a customer service representative at (800) 525-2431 if you have questions about the documentation or have difficulty with downloads.


Q:
I need to get a copy of the technical documentation for a product I ordered last year. Does the portal include historical documents?

A:

You have on-demand access to downloads of corporate documentation and tech docs for samples, but your short-term solution for tech docs for purchased products is as follows:

  • For Order/Lot specific documents such as Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), contact orders@flavorsum.com. We retain CoAs for 1 year.
  • Any other product specific tech docs such as TDS, SDS, NBFDS, and FIDS are available from regulatory@flavorsum.com. We retain documentation for product purchases for 2 years.

We’ll promptly email documents associated with your product purchases.

In 2022, we’ll have news about a solution that will restore on-demand access to tech docs for purchased products.
